About Kat’s Kritters Daycare and Boarding

My name is Kathy Gyoerick.  I began offering pet daycare/boarding services in 2013.  I come from an administrative background originally, but have over a decade of experience working directly with animals.  I managed a rural humane society for 3 years prior to founding my own animal rescue, Kat’s Kritters Rescue, which I have been operating since January of 2014.

Over the years, I have taken courses in animal sciences and veterinary assisting. I received my Fear Free Shelter Certificate in 2019. I completed my Fear Free Pet Sitter Certification in 2022 and am proud to be a Fear Free Certified Professional.

Me and my beloved rescue collie, Ace, who passed away in 2021.

I have signed the Fear Free Pledge, a commitment to uphold a humane, emotionally protective code of conduct and ethical standard for pet care and professionalism. Maintaining this certification requires annual completion of continuing education courses and remaining in good standing with the Fear Free organization by upholding ethical standards and codes of conduct.

I currently have 2 senior dogs of my own – Jasper (a rough collie), and Cody (an American Eskimo mix), and 1 senior cat – Tony (who thinks he’s a dog)! Sadly, I lost my beloved other rough collie, Ace, to cancer in 2021 and my senior bulldog mix, Angus, in 2022.
