Name: Bambi
Breed: Miniature Pinscher X
Sex: Female
Date of Birth: approx. 2006
Status: Available for Adoption

Bambi came into rescue through animal control in severely neglected condition. Her nails were so overgrown they were curling around each other, she was nearly blind, and was experiencing severe pain whenever she defecated. Her teeth were in such bad shape they were rotting out of her mouth. The infection had eaten through the bone. She has required extensive veterinary care including an eye enucleation, blood work, biopsies, two dental surgeries, and numerous medications. Despite it all, she has come far and is a sweet, spunky old girl! Bambi is looking for a committed forever home that will ensure she receives all the care and love she needs and deserves for the rest of her life. She does suffer with an auto immune condition and will require lifelong management via medication to keep her comfortable. She is also blind. Bambi does her best with her bathroom habits and usually does well to go on pads once she knows where they are located, but sometimes misses. She will go outside if taken out frequently. Her medication causes her to have to go often. Bambi would prefer a quiet home where she will get lots of cuddles and gentle handling including positive reinforcement to help her get used to things like nail trims, which currently, and understandably, cause her stress. She loves to burrow under blankets! This sweet old girl deserves only the best and hopes her forever family soon finds her. No children in the home is best. Bambi would prefer no other pets, but would could live with another animal provided it would give her space.
